Texas Woman Banned from Her Local Bingo Hall
Veronica Smith, a Texas woman was banned from her local bingo hall for accusing them of cheating. The dissatisfied bingo player was banned from her local bingo hall after she filed a complaint to the US Bingo Commission.
The outcast bingo player made allegations to the US Bingo Commission claiming the employees at here local VFW Post 4709 bingo hall were playing games and mysteriously winning far more than anybody else. When talking about the incidents Smith said “on the Pull Tabs she (an employee) won seven times. That’s just unreal”.
It’s not just Smith who has made allegations of cheating, other patrons have also made similar claims that employees are winning far too frequently in comparison to everybody else. The VFW Post 4709 Bingo Hall is currently under investigation by the state.
Smith received a letter saying that she was both banned from playing bingo at the VFW Post 4709 Bingo Hall and from entering the premises period. The banning notice was sent by Kenny Shelsteder who runs the bingo hall. When asked why the woman had been banned Shelsteder said “She can’t keep her mouth shut, people around her can’t play their bingo right, she accuses the workers of cheating and lying and stealing”. Shelsteder claims that he can ban anybody and also has a sign on the door of the bingo hall saying so.
In response to the claims Smith say “he’s (Shelsteder) lying, ask anybody in there. I love Bingo. I’ve been playing for, for over 30 years”. This certainly won’t be the end of this matter as the disgruntled bingo player has filed a second complaint with the US Bingo Commission.
