An 83 year old woman was out playing bingo when she had the good fortune of a $1,000 win, which she split with a friend but her good fortune turned to bad when the elderly bingo player was robbed on her doorstep as she was putting her key in the door.

Emily Gross, an elderly lady form Schenectady County, New York was playing at her local bingo hall last month when she won a large cash prize on one of the bingo games. Mrs Gross split her bingo winnings with a friend who she regularly plays bingo with but she wasn’t to keep her share for long.

After the bingo games had finished at the Schenectady Bingo Palace Mrs Gross got into her car and headed home. As she drove home from the bingo hall she thought that somebody was following her but as she pulled up at her home one of her neighbors pulled up so Mrs Gross assumed that was who had been behind her on her way back from the bingo hall.

As the elderly bingo player went to put her keys into her front door a man came from behind her and ripped her notebook from her arm, which turned black within a day. After hearing the news of his Mother’s ordeal Mrs Gross’ Son, Don moved his shaken Mother out of her apartment the very next day. Police have said that they are looking for that white SUV and the two men they believe were inside, however they do not have a detailed description of the suspects and aren’t optimistic of finding them.
