Some of the bingo superstitions and rituals included; having a special seat that they sit in every week, using a lucky dabber with blue being the most popular color, it is unlucky to leave money on the table as it implies the player has won too much, and carrying lucky charms such as photos of family, rabbit’s feet, cuddly toys, gems, horseshoes and four-leaf clovers also seemed to be very popular. The manager of the bingo hall said: “Bingo does seem to be a particularly superstitious game, probably due to the use of numbers which have always carried lucky connotations.”
